    Lightweight Mosley

Man its easy to forget just how ruthless, quick and talented this Shane Mosley was back at LW, He stopped all 8 challengers for his title and in exciting fashion, going 32-0 with 30 stoppages and he defended his crown FIVE times in "98", this man was a beast and still is a Real force years and years later, people talk about how the great Roy Jones once one a round against Paz where Vinny didnty land a single blow, well Mosley did the same to Golden Johnson in the 6th before stopping him with his then LETHAL body blows a round later

Just wanted to give the Sugar man some props, people tend to think mainly of his fights with Oscar, Cotto, and his scraps up at JMW but as a light weight - Forget About it!

I certainly don’t forget that, his inside fighting is what really set him apart. Speedy combinations to the body then opening up to the head almost seemed reminiscent of a young Meldrick Taylor though I’m careful with my words in comparing the two.

Ma if him and Floyd got it on back then it would be Out of this World! Its still a top fight and i cant wait but Shane was way better back then and Mayweather was more of a fighter, he let his hands go more often and threw more combinations

Lightweight Mosley was incredible. Had everything you could possibly want in a fighter. Rarely took punches too although I do remember him being momentarily rocked by Eduardo Morales. And that was for about a second. Mosley looked his lightweight self against Oscar the first time but after that, it was all downhill.

I watched that last night, he was kinda buzzed, not quite rocked but did what he always does, fired straight back, and he got the KO, he outpunched the puncher in that fight

You nailed it. And the only reason he got caught was because he was a little overzealous in attacking. But it was still a jawdropper to see anyone make that version of Shane stop dead in his tracks - even if it was for a second.

Yeah, that knockdown against Taylor in the first round was almost scary. And Diaz was simply overmatched. Mosley did fight a lot like Ray Robinson back then. He was just a special fighter. I have no doubts Richardson will come up with the right gameplan for Floyd, which will include digging to his body with hooks and crosses when he does his shoulder roll. I suspect they will try to make Floyd come to them as well. Mosley has good reach and jabs well when he chooses. But Floyd is special too. Should be a great one.

Mosley should be using that jab alot more, its top class.

Floyd is a knob but u cannot deny the talent.
