Tell him to move up to 140 and take on Amir Khan in England.

After watching Valero more closely, against a decent opponent - if not top tier opposition- one thing is clear. Edwin has enough speed and pop that, with his agression and confidence, he's not going to be a flash in the pan.

His longevity is going to have more to do with how he's matched and if he can continue to knock people out. Valero's hype is built on his power. It's alright to be a B+ level boxer if you hit like a truck. I mean, styles make fights, right? Maybe he'll be a limited technical fighter but with very good power. There's a niche role to be filled for fighters like that.

I didn't see quite the explosiveness in power I expected against DeMarco, but I saw decent use of speed and combinations; coupled with his heart to keep fighting with that gash, and it all translates to Valero being someone to keep an eye on. Not to jump onto his bandwagon, but definitely a guy to get excited about adding to a PPV undercard, for instance.
