    Valero looks like a...

Man!....Valero looks like a beast...even looks more menacing with that big ass gash on his forehead in his fight with DeMarco...

He looks like a cross between Christian Bale and King-Kong

Everybody needs to hop off this guys **** for a second and remember that the cut wasn't in a place where it could have caused him TOOOO much trouble, Cotto had a WAY worse cut against Clottey and displayed more heart for continuing simply because of the location of the cut. don't get me wrong yo much respect to Edwin Valero but if he doesn't learn how to keep those hands up I fear for him when he reaches that elite level in terms of opposition..

its not the hands i'm worried about.. its him swinging with his mouth wide open that's the problem.

First good coutner puncher he faces will displace his jaw, mark my words.

true dat, Valero got some work to do on his style, if he had a trainer who can preserve his animalistic style and just add a bit more technique to him, he is an awesome counter puncher and has power to give away but he can get a little too brute at times and open up causing him to get hit. I look forward to seeing him fight in the future, he's a very promising fighter but he needs to tune up defensively IMO

I think you're both making too much of those issues.

I dont think Valero keeping his hands low is a big problem because even though it's unconventional by today's standards....i didnt see it as a technique defficiency problem as much as Valero simply uses the old school John L Sullivan stance.

And him having his mouth wide open can be easily fixed in the gym as he gets tougher training camps, tougher sparring partners to improve his conditioning.

I wish the celebration was more epic though.

Like a bloody Israel Vazquez immediately after Marquez Vasquez II
