Yea you got a point..but Manny did counter the **** outta Cotto's jab..and those right hooks had Cotto spooked..so he became hesitant..but I agree..Cotto should have stayed engaging first on offense..he tried to go the JMM route I guess..

he was impressive today, and deserves all the credit today. Lets see who's next for Valero.. Funeka, Katsidis, Diaz'es would be nice.. JMM is perfect for a jump into the elites..

cotto did good when he kept manny at end of his jab and when many tried to jump cotto meet him with his own combo and stop manny in his tracks all round 1. then he got all defensive and it was downhill from that. he tried to brawl his way back n got droped and then on his bike rest of fight.

valero did something manny never did. roll punches off his shoulder and when got hit he rolled with the punches as well and he has way way way better balance than manny who breaks like every rule you shouldnt do in boxing. but because he is a superb athlete or on PEDS lol gets away with stuff.

Manny took away Cotto's jab with a right hook counter. Cotto has a beautiful jab, and was snapping Pac's head back with it in the first round, but after that Manny took it away, and the rest is history. Oh wait Cotto stopped throwing the Jab like Oscar in the Mayweather fight right?

no as soon as round 2 started manny jumped on cotto. he didnt get to establish his jab and was straigth on the defense. and oscar didnt even throw that many jabs at floyd why do people blow this up. he step on floyd feet and throw a jab. he prob landed like 20 jabs in the whole fight cmon oscar won nomroe than 4 rounds be serious. and cotto did well whenever he stuck the jab out even when he was hurt running later in the fight manny jsut followed him getting frutrated. he only counterd cotto when cotto got wild or tried to throw combos with him

Pacquiao took cotto's jab away from him. Go rewatch the fight bro. When I saw Cotto keeping Pac at bay in the first round I thought that Pac was way in over his head going against a beast in Cotto, but shortly thereafter Pac TOOK Cotto's jab away with his left hooks. Pac did seem frustrated in the late rounds by Cotto's moving around but I think that Pac was just taking it easy and knew Cotto was beat.
