so how he gonna do when he fight someone that can throw a punch...thats what im saying, what the point of trying to move in and out if you gonna get chaught with dumb ****? that tells me his defense needs work...demarco had many chances to hit valero but didn't

IMO you missed Valero moving just out of range to make DeMarco miss his straight left and right hook and when he'd duck under the left also. He basically only got hit here and there, the only thing that landed somewhat consistently was Tony's jab.

Of course his defense needs help and can get better, but it's not garbage. There's more to it than blocking with gloves and shoulder rolling.

Valero looks a lot like Sergio Martinez in there, but Valero would never get called slick like he Martinez gets.

Very, very good fight by Valero. After being cut so bad, he still fought through it and beat the hell out of a very solid fighter.

Pissed at Tony for being too damn cautious....but I give Valero props....especially after all the cuts he had early on.

i just think that a weakness in his style tho. it's not horrible, its not bad, but for a champ steping up in compo it needs to get better

Valero looked basically the same, if your opponent lets you do what you want it should basically look like that. Valero is obviously a much better fighter then DeMarco.

There are two ways to go against Valero one is you don't let him play the bully taking it to him instead or a fighter that knows how to box but not fight scared.

Valero's defense is not good, what aides him is he scares guys so they aligator arm ****. It is impossible to beat a guy like him fighting scared.
