For Those Of You Wondering If Dawson Would Go Down To 168

There is a lot of talk about who you will face after this fight. If you had the power to choose, who would you pick to fight?

"Definitely Bernard Hopkins. I would say Joe Calzaghe but he retired. The next best thing is Bernard Hopkins. I think I definitely deserve a shot at Bernard Hopkins. Will I get that shot? Who knows. If I can't get that, I have a mandatory (title defense) that I have to get out of the way, so I will go and do that. Or I will go down to 168 (pounds) and get a title shot down there."

Are you seriously considering dropping down to 168 pounds?

"Yes, very much so. Like I said, if I can't get the big fight at light heavyweight, then (I will go) to 168. It's a live weight class, so why not go down there and see if I can make some noise down there?"

Yeah, I mean the guy is coming in on FN weighing more than 190.

So he must be walking around between 195-200 when not in camp if he comes in at 191 just a day after a weigh in.

He can 168 IMO. He just has to be more disciplined. He has to move down staying at 175 wont do his legacy any favors.

I was just thinking the same thing...Why not fight Cloud? Even Glen Johnson is ready to fight him...

But Hopkins REEEALLY needs to stop avoiding him...I mean come on, why would he fight the guy that got knocked out and outboxed by two guys he beat (Tarver and Johnson) instead of a fighter who dominated both like himself? Does he honestly think fighting Jones Jr now is getting revenge? Before he dropped all of that weight, Jones Jr would take a **** on Hopkins, go home, smoke and have sex and then come back to the ring with a stomach full of chicken and beat Hopkins' ass a third time...
