Results from Moscow: Pirog, Ibragimov, and Abdusalamov stop their opponents

Middleweight Dmitry Pirog became the first to stop Eric Mitchell today, with a fifth round TKO.

Timur Ibragimov (27-2-1, 15 KOs) won a vacant IBA intercontinental heavyweight title with the third-round stoppage of Tanzanian Awadh Tamim (11-2, 6 KOs). Tamim was down three times.

Heavyweight Magomed Abdusalamov (7-0, 7 KOs) needed just 84 seconds to completely demolish Raymond Ochieng (20-10-3, 17 KOs). Ochieng was floored three times after looping right hands. Abdulusalamov has won all his fights so far by 1st round KO.

Welterweight prospect Vitaly Demyanenko (18-0, 11 KOs) won a wide decision over Jorge Daniel Miranda (34-8, 13 KOs).

You should do a segment on Lefty's Get your facts straight show entitled: "This week in European boxing"...

Good that they chose a more durable opponent for him, because he needs longer fights and more rounds before fighting elite comprtition.

No, Lemieux will continue to KO opponents. Some people are there just to survive and not to win (example: Kevin Johnson vs. Vitali Klitschko
) and so can be very difficult to stop.

Today, Lemieux had him down and almost out in the second round, but Naugler went into survival mode after that.
