Pac name has been mentioned in boxing circles for a while now. Just cause you chose to ignore it till now, doesn't mean everyone else did.



On A Side Note: I would agree that Floyd is bigger than Pac, except, for the two years Floyd was retired...No one cared...Just of few of his fans that would not let his name die. Many didn't miss him. For those two years, Pac name dominated the media. Not Floyd.

As far as Pac, yes I've been following him since he first beat Barrera, but as far as comparing his popularity to Floyd, that did not happen till last year when he fought De La Hoya. Floyd has been "da Man" much longer than that.

Most of those topics came from his fans...That's was my point. I didn't say he was never mentioned, but mainly brought up for no reason at times by his fans....You know that is true.

Question though, does it really matter who has been the man longer? That is a serious question.

To this I respond with a resounding YES. I mean whats going to change other than the purse split? If and when Floyd beats Mosley, Pac can forget about getting 50/50, there also wont be any letting up with blood testing demands. So what exactly is going to make a difference? He wouldn't fight him now, later in the year will be no better for him, unless he has had a chance to flush his system of Power Pellets by then.

I agree. I think the bolded portion of your comment will be the excuse Pac and Arum will use to avoid the fight. This is how I imagine the scenario taking place. Mayweather beats Mosley and draws more PPV that Pac did against Cotto and De La Hoya. Pac fights Clottey and won't draw more than 500,000 PPV, proving that Mayweather is the biggest PPV attraction. Mayweather will then demand a bigger share of the purse and random drug tests. Pac will agree to the random drug tests but will refuse to give Floyd the bigger share of the purse, even though the numbers dictate it. This will kill the fight for a second time and Pac will fight Yuri Foreman for $5 million in front of a crowd of 5,000 people and a PPV audience of 100,000 on one of Bob Arum's PPV cards.
