Rigondeaux is very talented, but we haven't seen his best just yet. Gamboa has been going all out from day one though, quick hands & feet, explosive power, top notch reflexes. Gamboa might be the better athlete.

Any notice how different Gamboa and Rigondeaux's styles are? They're like complete opposites.

I went to ESPN Friday Night Fights last night and walked in right when Rigondeaux got the KO from the body shot. That dude is so precise with his punches and so patient. After the fight, both him and Gamboa were clownin by ringside with Livan Hernandez (Cuban MLB pitcher). Pretty cool to see.

I personally think Rigondeaux has more talent, his reflexes are just as good if not better than Gamboa's but he uses them differently, Gamboa uses it much more offensively whereas Rigondeaux uses his for defense, it's been quite a long time since I've seen a fighter react to punches like Rigondeaux, the guy reacts to punches before they're even thrown. He has very good speed and power but he's economical with them. The guy is one of the most talented guys I've seen quite honestly, whether he can translate that talent to success time will tell.

rigondeaux, end of thread, just look at his amateur fights and his wins only 4 losses for his whole career, this guy was considered as p4p #1 in amateurs when he was there, he is exceptional talent.

GR is more technically skilled but YG is more athletically gifted. It be skills vs athleticsm. Be cool if they fought down the road.

the things i see in Rigondeaux remind me alot of what i saw with Bojado, movement, reflexes, punching with vigor and intelligence as well as knowing when and when not to throw. People on this board know im not that high on Gamboa, but this guy is far more impressive, but its also because i have seen Bojado is why i just wait until they sustain some success before judging any further than that.
