Comments Thread For: Mayweather: "Power and Speed Won't Help Mosley Win"

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is making the rounds and talking up his May 1 fight with WBA welterweight champion Shane Mosley. Mayweather has often been called a very defensive style. His critics think he is too defensive for his own good and that very defense makes for bad fights. [Click Here To Read More]

I hate to admit it but Flyd if right. Shane will be too slow for him he knows it, and he will take advantage of it come fight night.

People are giving Shane too much credit for his win against Margarito, but Floyd is a totally different fighter.

If what Floyd has to offer is what he offered up against JMM he is in some trouble.....however i think he will be alot better than that night. Also big challenges bring out the best in Floyd Mayweather.

Dont read into that, he carried JMM. He needed the rounds after the layoff. He couldve opened up on im and got him out of there but he rspected him too much and that would looked bad for Floyd beating him up like that. so he made it look like a boxing match.

That's right, if you don't have the legs then the power and speed means little to nothing against a boxer with legs.

When talking directly about boxing is about the only time when Floyd doesn't come off as an absolute prick. Interesting how he seems to give the edge to Mosley in regards to speed, basically saying that his own timing will be the key. Teddy Atlas often notes the potential for timing to beat speed in his commentary as well.

Boxer with no legs= Punching Bag.

Floyd might as well be working out May 1st.

Exactly, one of the main reasons why I'm not all that interested in this match up but whatever; people want to see it.
