I would not be surprised at all. This is definitely a fight that could become very competitive if Estrada dictates the pace and can keep Adamek out of rhythm with his awkward combinations/lunges.
Estrada's biggest issue will be in his conditioning. If he can effectively go out there and be first all night with his jab, he can take Adamek out of his game plan and break him down mentally. If not, it'll be a matter of time.
He cannot go out there and expect to just counter Adamek all night because Adamek will change speeds and show different angles, like he did against Cunningham. -
As an Adamek fan, I'm nervous about this fight.
Tomasz should have stayed at cruiserweight, where he was champion. His frame (bone structure) is too small for his current weight. He's always had excellent stamina at cruiserweight and light heavyweight, but now he's carrying over 20 pounds extra.
Estrada has never been knocked down in a fight, either as an amateur or pro. His weakness was his weight, and he tended to slow down after a few rounds. But this time he's coming in much lighter...
I'm thinking Adamek will win a narrow decision in a difficult fight, but I have a bad feeling about this fight and I'm worried he will lose.Comment
