I remember Oba Carr being a top contender who gave prime Oscar a good fight.

Based on memory alone, I'd favor Oba Carr.

    Possibly by knockout.

Carr was a solid contender, but he always came up short in the big fights. I'd pick Cotto by late TKO.

Cotto wins by UD.. both good, but the other has a winner's mentality.

I honestly believe if Oba Carr would be champ if he was fighting in this era... I think in the era of 4 major belts... Oba Carr was the best fighter not to be champion... Better than Rocky Juarez... IMO Carr just had horrible luck cuz he fought on the Tito and Oscar era... And, TBH Cotto is not Tito or Oscar... I think this would of been quite an intriguing match up

Cotto tKO late. Oba Car as a good starter but bad finisher, plus he didnt like it to the body.

Cotto is not a great finisher himself though...

                  This right here fellers.

Carr was a good boxer with enough power to put you on your ass if you weren't careful, but he'd be overpowered by a fighter like Cotto.

Which fighters that Cotto had hurt did he fail to put away?

EDIT: you mean "finisher" as in ability to close a fight strong don't ya...?
