I have to laugh at Tarvios Cloud

I'm not fan of Dawson, but I find it hilarious that Cloud has criticized Dawson for fighting nothing, but old men and look at Cloud's past opponents and now future:

Julio Gonzalez. Age 33, but shot as hell.
Clinton woods: Age 37, Tarver dominated him just as bad if not worse then Cloud.

Now he'll end up fighting 40 year old Glen Johnson. Maybe he should take his own advice and fight a younger fighter? Maybe? Whoever he ends up fighting on March 26 will be garbage too

What choice does Cloud have if Johnson is his mandatory? I just hope he actually fights him instead of going inactive. I've got nothing bad to say about Cloud's opposition for a guy in his position at this point. I view Gonzalez and Woods as better fighters than Gardner and Harding before Adamek gave Dawson his shot when Chad was the mandatory. I just wish Cloud would be more active.

Tarver had a rematch clause, so Dawson would have to fight him again. Johnson deserved a rematch after the first fight and he's still a top notch fighter. It's really hypocritical to say that he fought nothing, but old guys when you have to do the same.

That's because he thinks Dawson ducked him. And they are the only two top ranked young guys in the division besides Pascal. Dawson had the option of putting the Tarver rematch on hold for one fight to get his mandatory (Cloud) out of the way too. So you can't say that he had to fight Tarver right away.

He had an option fight. At the time, Glen Johnson was much more deserving. Cloud hadn't even beaten Woods yet and Johnson did great against Dawson the first time.

So then why didn't Dawson fight him right right away and instead wait until he got older?

Good question, not sure of the answer, but I'm pretty positive that Dawson wanted to get Tarver out of the way again so he could fight Hopkins in his second fight for his HBO contract. Hopkins fought Pavlik in October and Dawson didn't want to wait until the summer to fight again, so he got Tarver out of the way.
