It took me literally one semester of ESL to learn English in the 2nd grade. Manny has been fighting in the USA for 8 years and he still can't comprehend any questions that are asked of him. He always devolves into repeating the same generic statements in between 5-second pauses of um's and uh's.

Obviously it's easier as a child because your brain is still developing. To say that an adult can't learn a language better than Manny has over the course of 8 years is simply false though.

Miguel Cotto was born in New York and lives in Puerto Rico, a territory of the US, I don't see the similarities.

Guess what, people get better at what's important to them. Apparently learning English is not that important to him. He's been pretty successful without it. Only words he really needs to know are the ones Roach says. Roach isn't exactly the best teacher and he isn't even trying to teach him.

You are just trying to find a reason to bag on him. Making **** up about not even speaking Tagalog, and his lack of education. You seem to have an inferiority complex...
