Why would he fight Vernon when he lost to Mayorga?? Winky? I could understand people saying he didn't want to fight him.
How could he keep the belt hostage if he lost the belt the next fight to Mayweather?
Vernon was at 147 the same time Oscar was... When Oscar moved to 154 and Vernon beat Shane twice Vernon said he was willing to go to 154 to fight Oscar... Yet Oscar didn't accepted why? Why not fight Vernon after Vernon beat Baldomir and won the WBC title that Floyd vacated at 154?

He kept the belt hostage. He won the belt against Mayorga in May of 2006 fought Floyd in May of 2007. He kept that belt hostage for a year... When Martinez was his #1 contender... Martinez was pushing the WBC to force Oscar to fight him or strip Oscar... But, Oscar being the weasel that he is made a deal with Souliman who is a fucking snake as well to let him keep his belt in order not to fight Martinez...

Oscar losing to Mosley twice is what I think set them from fighting. At 47 and 54. Its funny how you hold Oscar to standards but yet I bet you don't hold the same for Pac who skipped challenges at 135/140(apart from Hatton).

So would you take a fight with Floyd Mayweather in what produced the biggest fight in boxing or fight Martinez??

At the time this was a big win. A lot of people thought Mayorga beat Spinks and Tito was the first one to really beat him up since he won the title.

Dude, I don't like Oscar one bit. But you're calling De La Hoya out for ducking Martinez which Forrest (RIP) did for like these two past years while Martinez was the mandatory for that same belt. And I thought that Forrest was Oscar's WBC mandatory and not Martinez.

Sup Chicano? Are you worried about Thomas Hauser breaking Oscar's balls right now trying to get him to reveal some past drug tests? Boy, if he turned out to be dirty they would have to tear that statue down in front of Staples Center.
