Well that's a downer... I wasn't expecting the article to conclude that he is slipping and probably isn't going to be able to recapture his brilliance.

      Another case of a manager/promoter ruining a boxer's career.

From what I've seen in the Santos and Julio fights, Dzinziruk doesn't have a lot of power, doesn't throw the left a whole lot, but he has a very tight defense, excellent jab, pretty decent footwork, and would be a tough fight for anyone at 54.

It's too bad the Williams fight didn't come off, though I think Paul would've outworked him.

Hopefully Dzinziruk can now get some much needed flow in his career. He has definetely wasted enough time.

Dzinziruk lacks movement... he's a great boxer/puncher who stands in the pocket and has excellent counterpunching skills. That just isn't going to get it done against Paul Williams.

Anyone else at 154 would lose to him though IMO.

im personally getting tired of these boxers signing contracts and not honoring them and the promoters/managers get bad publicity for it. Sergiy Dzinziruk would be a nobody, an absolute nothing if it werent for Universum and now he gets too big for them. Im glad Universum took this stand and didnt fold easily and pretty much screwed Dzinziruks career. He deserves the inactivity and all the crap because he's the one that signed a contract and wanted out of it.

Dzinziruk has every right in the world to be pissed. He kept asking for Williams, and Universum basically told him, shutup, just train, we'll get it done.

And then they didn't get it done. He wants to be recognized in the states, and fighting Williams would have been the way to do just that. I mean, Williams was the interim champion for Dzinziruk's belt FFS. It's pretty hard to mess up making that fight.

Not to mention, everyone is leaving Universum, because they lost their television contract with ZDF.

I do. It's a very tough and close fight that is extremely difficult to call, but if I had a gun to my head, I'd pick Dzinziruk.

It's also the fight I want to see most in the sport, even more than Mayweather vs. Pacquiao.

Yeah after what Williams did to Winky, I gave up thinking Dzinsiruk had any chance of beating him. The only two guys who had success so far, Martinez and Quintana, used tons of lateral movement to keep making Paul reset. Guys like Dzinziruk and Clottey just don't have what it takes.
