Rafa will end Vazquez in this fight.
The bitter taste of being jobbed in the 3rd fight is stills strong with him.Comment

I don't know why, but I'm looking forward to this fight for some reason even though my initial feeling was to boycott it. I honestly don't think Rafael Marquez was robbed in the third fight because it was Vasquez who poured it on at the end and it appeared that he rocked Marquez a lot more in the fight than the other way around even though Izzy's face looked worse for wear. I didn't see either guy's last fights. But if I go by the reports of them, I think you've got to favor Rafael Marquez.
Another thing too, if Rafael Marquez ever did get a shot at Juan Ma Lopez, he would stand a better chance of beating him than Ponce De Leon, Penalosa, and sorry ass Luevano. I would favor Lopez, but it would be his toughest test to date. Pretty sorry when you've had as many fights as he's had and a guy who is considered shot would be your toughest fight yet. Rafael Marquez had to come up the hard way and fight guys like Tim Austin and Too Sharp Johnson. Has Lopez ever fought anybody that good? No!Comment

I'm glad you brought this up. He did come up the hard way and beat two HOF'amers in Johnson and Austin. He ruled Bantam for almost 7 years without losing and knocking everyone out.
If it was a prime for prime fight at say 122' I'd favor Rafa by devastating knockout.
Given his age and ring wars, I'd say its a 50/50 fight w/ Lopez now. Lopez is so cuddled its a joke.Comment
