I think it'll be a great fight. Rigondeaux will shine against a guy who comes at him and Caballero is a guy who goes at his opponents. Really skillwise and stylewise Rigondeaux should beat Caballero but we don't know if Rigondeaux is prepared to go 12 hard rounds against an experienced, rough guy.

There have been some Asian fighters who beat much more experienced, on paper, pros inside their first ten fights. This isn't that far fetched but it is a tall order.

There is a difference between experienced on paper, and experienced in reality.

Historically it doesn't turn out well. Especially when the experienced fight is a World class fighter still near the top of their game.

                No he's not ready.

The pros are a different game.

He may be extremely gifted and experienced because of his amateur background.

But he's having problems put lower opposition down.

He needs at least 5-10 more fights.

He will lose if he fights him now.

This fight has a chance to be very very boring. Rigondeaux didnt take risks and never came forward and was just boring to watch against guys who were 1-12. I cant imagine how safety first he'll be against an actual world class opponent.

Rigondeaux has a lot of skill, but he's not a fan friendly fighter.

He needs a few more fights, he is so much more advanced in skill than a lot of these guys, but he still hasn't fought a guy who isn't afraid to press him. All of his past opponents are afraid to engage, Caballero will not be.

I don't think his age should effect him much as long as he trains and lives clean. He didn't take much punishment as an amateur.

why are the cubans such in a hurry to put their young prospects in tough fights? Let them marinate a little.
