I'm curious to know. There are 4 belts per weight class? And the Ring belt?
What is their significance in order from highest to lowest?
Thanks!
Belts? RING
Beating the MAN universally recognized as the best in that division is just as significant though 95% of the time the MAN is also wearing the RING Belt.
Roy and Mckalowzxeski is such a conflict though
1. RING / Lineal
2 WBC/ IBF / WBO
2. WBA ( Regular Champion and Super Champion? WTF??! )
The fighter makes the belt, shouldn't be the other way around. So I'd say they all have the same importance, all of the sanctioning bodies need a top fighter to make their belts more significant.
Ring belt FTW. Win or lose it only in the ring. Get it only by beating the champ, or being the top contender beating 1 of the 2 next top contenders. No sanctioning fees required. Ring is the true lineal title.
Oh okay. JW cuz ive heard some fighters mention wbo as the best belt or the "real" belt in the division. Wasnt sure if this was common knowledge or an opinion. besides ring of course.

I think it's mostly opinion. My opinion except the ring belt and the interim belts and such would be
WBC
WBA
WBO
IBF
WBA/WBO can be interchangeable. I think they are lobbying for the IBO to be considered as a major belt now. I saw somewhere that there ranking are computer generated though.
