Just because someone hasn't been hyped doesn't mean they are not a worthy opponent. De Marco is a legit top prospect. And given that Valero can't fight in the States, it's hard for him to get the really big names to fight him, because he's high risk low reward.

Damn, it's about time he gets some primetime action. Linares and Hasegawa are next in line!

Its one and done for Valero. DeMarco is gonna burst his little commie bubble on Saturday.

me four free valero fights with my order.

IMO, i'm telling you there is nothing there or not
enough there to believe in valero hype.
valero has had obvious setup fights. resume padded with goose
              down.
demarco on a bad night could school valero imo. and
i mean that literaly. not as a cliqueshae(?)

could there be a chance demarco pull a rookie mistake like victor ortiz?
              ...i don't think so...

              demarco TKO 8

In a way he did, because he knew what was supposed to happen next. 12-0 with 12 knockouts, all in the first round, he was the type of power-punching star that boxing fans crave. On january 29, 2004, he was going to make his new york and hbo debut against francisco lorenzo on a boxeo de oro telecast, and nothing was ever going to be the same for him or for boxing.

But then came the roadblock – a ban from the new york state athletic commission due to a failed mri stemming from a 2001 motorcycle accident that fractured his skull and forced the removal of a blood clot. Valero claimed that he was cleared by doctors before his 2002 pro debut, and had obviously competed without incident in three california fights. But there would be no fight for valero in new york that winter night, and maybe not on any other night. [click here to read more]

I got most of my points on DeMarco in this fight. I can't believe how many people Valero has fooled.

Otherwise pretty solid posters are actually backing this guy.

                    He's just terrible.

His technique is awful, wide gaping swings.
