why would a guy who's ducking every threat on the horizon need to rest his body? i wanna now who punished him enough for him to retire almost 2 years

he didn't need time to heal anything. he just needed time for the WW to destroy themselves in wars while pac moved up. now he plans to fight pac and mosley and retire again. i'd go all in on that any day

Floyd is a known over trainer. Hes been boxing since he was born damn near.

He has had hand problems and back problems. Who are we to say he cant go on retirement?

He came back and is fighting the best WW in the World then hes going to fight the P4P Number the SECOND best WW.

But, just cuz people wanted to see it does not make it necessary. For example before Roy lost to Green. People wanted to see Hopkins-Jones II but it was really not necessary... And, also there was the same amount of people that wanted to see Floyd-Margarito...

And, what makes you think that Zab was playing around with Baldo? Why would he play around? Or why after 8 or 9 rounds when it was close why not get serious and beat Baldo? Why did he keep playing around for the whole 12 rounds?

And, why fight a guy who does not take boxing seriously? A fighter who plays around and losses does not take boxing seriously...

But, why not fight Marg and have Zab prove that the Baldo fight was a fluke? Beat Marg and fight the winner of the Zab-Baldo rematch?

Dude there were things in the contract that Floyd didnt like. So he fought the Lineal Champion instead.

Castillo at 135 is LIGHT YEARS better then Marg at anyweight.

Are you talking about the first fight? The one where Floyd had a torn rotator cuff?

He beat Castillo twice BTW.

Don't mistake me. I'm a bigger fan of pac than any fighter. That Cotto and that Margarito are beasts. Before they met, they hold wins over almost every significant WW contender with only Pwill and Floyd as the exception.

Pac has 2 fights at WW. Hindsight include, only one is really a gauge of his abilities (Cotto).
Mosley in the last 3 years at WW got Collazo, Cotto, and Marg ... losing to Cotto.

You can make the P4P argument and spin it anyway you want but the WW resume of Cotto and Marg speaks for itself.

Margarito is not as good as Pac. But we are not talking P4P status here. We are talking actual fights and matchups. Why do you ask over Baldomir? Never ****ted on the guy actually respected him and do not take that win from Floyd. He was a one time WW no. 1 guy. The best continuously fights the best. It is not a one shot deal. Fact is before Floyd went on retirement, there were 2 guys primed and ready to take the WW crown from him. That was Cotto and Margarito.

Could be equal considering the time frame when everything was or is going to happen. It'll be a good look if he beats both Mosley and Pac, but you'd be crazy not to think beating Cotto or Margarito wouldn't be a good look on Floyd (especially between 2004-2008)

Who else do you expect him to fight? He SHOULD be fighting Pacquiao and Mosley. But if Mayweather would've beaten both Cotto and Marg back from '04 to '08 I'm pretty sure you'd hold those wins very high for Floyd (as they'd be his best wins out of any fighter he faced from '04-'08).

Each of those wins is (or would've been) a big win for Floyd.
