So having a belt means you're not over the hill, with your foot basically out the door?

Hernandez was slowing at the tail end of his career.

It wasn't that much of a risk for Floyd.

Corrales IS his best win. Which was 9 years ago.....

If he beats Mosley in May that will change though.

Floyd was still a prospect for Gods sake.

I'm not so sure about that,16 months off is a helluva lot for a guy approaching 40,who has already completed a full training camp recently.

And Hernandez was picked because he was an easy win. They got him at exactly the right time, and before you start with the predictable,'Floyd never gets any credit' whine, I think Hernandez was a good place to start. This was back in the day when I was actually a fan of Floyds btw.

Which means he wont be rusty.

He already said that out his own mouth.

"The difference with me is I that I keep training, and working out, and getting myself together. I've been training really for the Mayweather or the Pacquiao fight, I wasn't really training for Berto. Like I said, I was looking to get through him. I'm not worried about not fighting for a year, because I be in the gym working and training."

                      I agree.

It was a great move on Floyd's part.

He gets an easy win against a good name and for the most part I agree it was a decent win for his resume.

                      Was it a risk though?

                      No.
