Do you guys think Mosley will be able to have success with the right?? I mean Oscar did land it a few times, and so did JMM.

What's your take? Is the shoulder roll a invite for a right?
no its not.the most floyd gets hit with is strait lefts,as evidenced by zab judah, sharmba mitchel,an corley.those guys have landed the cleanest on him.he rarely if at all gets hit wit strait rights.oscar jab was able to bother floyd due to size difference of height which shane doesnt have.i do believe in nazeem si i think he can put somethin 2gther.i think shane has to get on the inside, score, then tie floyd up.

I think that's the style he's going to adopt for the rest of his career.

        no

the right hand on a right handed stanced fighter limits the area where they can hit someone using a shoulder roll. The fighter in a shoulder roll defense can turn his left shoulder inward limiting the area where a right can go through and land

truth be told a southpaw heavy with a left hand both as a lead and as a 1-2 lands on a shoulder roll better

Of course the shoulder roll is an invite for the right. It's an invite to make an opponent miss a right hand. The shoulder roll was invented to make the right hand to the head miss.

The only punch that can consistently land on it is a right to the body or hip, which won't do **** to a supremely conditioned boxer.

The only way an orthodox fighter can be successful against the shoulder roll is to hold and explode with a combo, something that Mosley is great at. Look at Toney-Oquendo for reference.

Right-t will not get the job done. The only way the right hand will work is if you're his size and just keep putting pressure on him...you'll probably sneak one in and it will be the lucky one. Left-t is what will get the job done.

I'd say Floyd is more open to a left hand (Oscar was effective early with his jab) than a right hand...

Shane's jab sucks period. If he throws a lot of jabs he will get countered until he stops.

I been saying this for years... If you look at the shoulder roll you will notice that it doesn't cover the temple. Shane's right is aimed at the temple.

Man the key to unlock the sholder roll is

                    JAB JAB JAB

                    everybody knows this

The Jab will either keep him leaning , will force him 2 jab.. or to hold his hands higher..

Shane dont got no jab tho... but he got other tools

Plus floyd practically gives up the first half of the fight to every decent opponent hes foughten.. after he figures them out..they let him catch up on the cards
