    Why Will Mayweather beat Mosley?

Before you answer the poll. Remember:

Shane Mosley is 38 years old, older than Joe Louis was when he lost to Marciano. Older than Ali was when he lost to Holmes.

Shane Mosley is 12 years past his prime. Proof: Mosley was BWAA Fighter of the Year way back in 1998, which was a generation ago!

Shane Mosley has been inactive to the point where he deserves to be stripped of his WBA World Welterweight Title.

      Be specific, my man.

      My opinion.

Floyds abillity to out maneuver. I don't believe Shane has the legs to move with Floyd throughout 12 rounds.

Shanes lack of head movement. Floyd will be able to find his target when he decides to let his hands go.

Floyds defense. Shane will have a tough time landing his punches, and Shane isn't known for a great jab, which is a big tool you need to fight Floyd.

Shane's 38 yr old 12 round stamina aginst a boxer. Shane will bring the fight, no doubt. But I question his stamina trying to find Floyd for 12 rounds at 38 years old.

Shane's inactivity. By the time May 1st rolls around, Shane will officially be inactive inside the ring for 15 months.

I see Floyd starting off with a jab to the body an head over and over because Shanes weakness is a goodjab and hes not skilled enouh to time them. Dont believe me watch the Cotto fight. Cottos jab owned Mosley and kept him at bay and uncomfortable. Floyd does not lead with his jab alot but against Shane as WE ALL KNOW Shane struggles with jabs and Mayweather has a good one.

I see Shane getting hit with that jab to the stomach and getting circled Constantly by Floyd who will not stop moving in this fight. Floyd has the footspeed to dart in and out on Shane and get off punches. I see shane having to sell out to get again and thats when I see him him tryng to bull rush Floyd on the insde during the clinches alot.

Mayweather Like I said will make himself a damn near immpossible target to hit by his constant circling and movement. After a few arounds Floyds lead right will start to connect and along with a jab that is the punch that Shane has no defense for. I tink the handspeed edge goes to Mayweather IMO. Shane is fast but I believe in the Cotto fight...Cotto was as fast or faster.

Mayweather will be circling, pot shotting darting in and out and using the shoulder roll which basically gives righties a slim chance to land anything big. Shane will have his moments but they will be few and far between I see him throwing and the crowd cheering but they wont be landing effectively. Shane is a very wide puncher when he wants to be and after he realizes hes down on the cards hell look for ONE shot and then my friends thats where this fight wil get UGLY for Shane, because Floyd will tag his ass non stop and might even drop Shane a few times. No not because of power but because Floyds accuracy, speed, shanes aggresiveness, his wild swinging and the fact that he punches with his eye close. The punches that hurt are the ones you dont see and they can pout you on your ass.

Shane has a real dislike for Floyd but he respects him. In the ring I think Shane will be looking for that ONE punch that never happens as Floyd turns his face to a pinata.

Mayweather UD or late corner or ref stoppage. (Too many punches wil land Flush on Shane)

Not to mention Shane will be launching those haymakers and Floyd will see 'em coming a mile off. Shane looks predictable and doesn't set up his offense enough, nor does he combination punch enough anymore. He's gonna go in there and try to knock Floyd around the ring, but he'll look sloppy as hell against someone so elusive and those counters will come raining in more and more as the fight progresses and Shane is worn down.

Shanes won't be able to tag Mayweather with those wild shots.....he needs to have his feet planted and when he does he closes hie eyes. He's way too stiff for Mayweather at this point...I can't see how Mosleys wins. Just can't.

Yall need to get off that Mosley being inactive ****. By fight time Mosley will have had 1 fight in 16 months and PBF will have had 1 fight in 29 months. So who has been more inactive?

Just face it PBF will beat Mosley because he is better and smarter.

                    yea, good analysis.

shane is not a "PLAN B" type of fighter. especially now, he goes into the ring with one purpose, to hurt the other fighter.

as we saw with his fight with cotto, if he can't hurt you, he has nothing else to fall back on. hell, he was losing (on my card) to mayorga, until he KO'ed him in the 12th.

floyd adapts over the course of a fight, and although he isn't "all out" action, like most of the ppl on this website like to see, watching the dude completely outthink and outpeform opponents is a treat to me....love him of hate him, dude probably has the best skills in the business.

the problem for mosley, is that he won't be able to land too many of his wild shots on mayweather, and throwing those shots and missing will take a lot out of w/e legs the guy has left. add that to the fact floyd has excellent condition, plus the fact shane will have no plan B when he misses the vast majority of what he throws, and i don't see any way shane pulls this off....outside of catching floyd with a very, very lucky shot.
