That is just plain ignorant, people wanna see fighters who sacrifice themselves and have a balls to the wall style of fighting, like Mccullough and yes like Gatti, and remember Gatti got a title shot for a meaningless vacent WBC belt. Sactown you make it seem like the doors open for u if ur a white fighter, that is bull****. I really think race has very little to do w/ it. It is all about the style.

The 1st fight was not competitive, and I don't think Wayne wasnts to get humiliated in front of the hometown fans, he should have retired after Scott Harrrison mopped the floor with him....

if it was all about style, guys like Emmanuel Augustus, Rogelio Castaneda, Manuel Gomez, etc., would be getting title title shots, but guess who gets the title shots? Ebo Elder, Wayne McCullough, even Angel Manfredy had a few shots, and of course Arturo....thats right, the whiteboys....

I'm not complaining, Arturo and Wayne, as you said, have crowd pleasing styles, and they're good guys outside of the ring too, but just like Larry Holmes said about Cooney "if this wasn't a black & white situation, Gerry Cooney "he had the right complexion to get the connection"

LOL are you kidding?? You talking about ducking people with Gatti as your avatar who hasnt fought a good contender with a big name since... well... i cant remember.

Also to put things clear since you are singleing out the "Mexicanos" When Erik fought Wayne he kept popping Wayne all through the fight it wasnt even competitive. Dont get me wrong, Wayne put on a tremendous effort and showed he had the heart of a champ. But it wasnt competitive enough to even scream about a rematch like you are.
