    3 questions - 3 answers needed

    I have some questions:
-What is plyometrics? (like i know it trains speed and power
although i dont know what kinda thing is involved in it). I
most definetly have done some of that stuff before as i box
although i dont know what it is. Is it simply bag work etc.?

-Is pushing illegal? like say if i had my guard up with both
hands and some1 got a bit close for me. I could back off or
could i do a slight nudge with my 2 arms that are up by my
face? obviously blatent throwing people to the floor is illegal
    but is that kinda stuff?

-Can some1 tell me some good counter punch training techniues. I understand sparring generally improves ability to counter punch. But is there some sort of specific workout that u can do to train this solely. Like when u want strong ab - sit-ups or medicine ball. U nderstand what i mean.

Any who knows a bit or trains could u answer me these questions.

Grateful to any1 who gives sensible replies. Thanks.

This should probably be under the Training & Nutrition forum.

plyometrics are a variety of muscle-reflex building exercises, used primarily for football/boxing/wrestling training....plyometric exercises usually involve a lot of running/jumping/weight lifting, in combination with each other....for example....

doing 20-yard dashes, but kicking your heels back to your booty on each step, or your knees up to your abdomen...

sprint, twist and run backwards, then "g****vine", 20 yards each

        "g****vine" holding a 45-lb weight, while twisting your upper-body back & forth....

standing double-jump off a ledge (jump as high as you can off a 2-3 foot platform, land, then jump right back up)

University of Nebraska used to send my football coach training videos for plyometric exercises, these are just a few of my favorites
