Interesting. I haven't seen the fight yet but from what everyone is saying it sounds like an awful decision. Not sure that they can do much or will do much about it though, except for order a 3rd match between them.

      That seems shady.

      Video review - that's GREAT.

I think every fight where there is questionable scoring should be subject to video review by an official panel of judges hired by the organization (WBA, etc) and based on the results correct the scoring if necessary.

This is the area the boxing world needs to clean up, put more focus on, and in "an effort to keep the sport clean" work on ending the corruption and ignorance in judging. Unless the boxer is a knock out artist ala Valero/early Tyson, their careers lie solely in the hands of these judges. IMO if more outrage and attention were paid to this particular aspect rather than attempting to "clean up the sport" (cough, cough) through Olympic Style testing and accusations, the sport as a whole would become more favorable for the boxing fans.

I seen the fight live. It was a horrible decision. There were a few times where it looked like campillo was gonna finnish him off. Martinez had it scored correct.

As I read the title of the article, I knew the one judge that scored it right was going to be the one judge that was approved by the WBA.

Man the corruption in this sport is just so obvious sometimes.

Shame, we could be living in an era with Evander Holyfield as the current HW champ (I know some people wouldn't like it, but I think it would have been cool, in a nostalgic way - just keep him away from the Klitchkos).

I heard shumenov forced a rematch with campillo by withholding campillo's purse/cheque and refusing to pay him unless he signed to rematch him since shumenov promote the fight, Now how did that happen????
