As reported on Wednesday, Ricky Hatton has dropped trainer Lee Beard from his corner. There appears to be some tension over Beard leaving during Matthew Hatton's training camp to take a trip to America to train Joan Guzman. Bob Shannon, who trains several of the fighters under Hatton Promotions, will finish the camp and work the corner of Matthew for his February 19 fight with Mikheil Khucishvili. Matthew Hatton has always interested me because i consider him a journeyman with a better record. who in his last fight was yes unlucky not to get the decision. but Who for some reason he thought the IBO world title was a legitimate one. he thinks he should be fighting the welterweight divisions elite fighters. being linked with mayweather he must be daft not to realise if he was given the fight he'd be nothing but cannon fodder.
he is at best a good british title level fighter who shoudl be chasing down fights with guys like Kell Brook, Michael Jennings, John O'donnell, Go for revenge against Craig Watson. etc. I just wish he would fight guys like these and work his way up and not just piggy back off his brothers name.

if you dont like him why even comment on the post? but as for the trainers i think that ricky should take galagher (spelling) and have one last go at it win lose or draw this should be his last fight IMO because i dont want him to get hurt i personally think that he has one more great performance in him
