if u remember for most the 90s roy jones was considered the p4p best
    followed by floyd
so maybe i missed it when floyd beat roy
p4p is somethin obtained by beatin the best
and after these fights both wininng
floyd will have beat the better opposition
hed def take a step above pac
No **** moron, everyone knows that. Fact is Floyd, the #3 guy, beating Shane, the #2 guy doesn't equal number one. The reason Floyd took over for RJJ was because there was no possibility of the 2 ever meeting in the ring. They were in completely different weight classes. Plus, RJJ losing a couple fights didn't help either. There was a void that Roy left and Floyd filled. P4P is all opinion. If Pac destroys Clottey and Floyd beats shane in a UD or SD, I don't see anything changing except the #2 and #3 spot.

HHHmmmm last 3 Opponents if they win

      Pac - Clottey, Cotto, Hatton

      Floyd - Mosley, JMM, Hatton

Lets just cancel Hatton out because

Floyd Kayoes him 1st but Pac fought him at his best weight of 140lbs where he's the lineal champ

We can also cancel out Mosley and Cotto. Mosley beat Marg who beat Cotto but Cotto beat Mosley. They have one point each between the 3 of them

      Now.

Joshua Clottey@147 againts JMM @144 wherein Floyd came at 146??????

Cmon now.... This should be no contest if both fighters win.

            Thats really ****** logic.

Hatton was undefeated when Floyd KO'ed him.

Pac got leftovers. Freaking Juan Lazcano is hurting you your in trouble.

Mosley is the #1 WW in the world. The lineal Champion

Clottey is #5 WW and is coming off a loss to Pacs last opponent.

It comes down to who performs better against there respective opponents.

Floyd fought Hatton at a weight where he only fought once and looked like crap, almost (did according to a lot of people) lost to Collazo. Pac beat him at a weight where he was undefeated.

Pac just demolished the guy who beat a younger, fresher version of Mosley.

By the time Shane gets in the ring with Floyd, he will not only be almost 39 years of age, but he won't have stepped in the ring for almost a year and a half.

Clottey's loss to Cotto was highly disputed and is only Pac's second fight at 147.

These are the facts, have a nice day.

Mosley lost a competitive fight against a fresher Cotto at his natural weight of 147.

Pac demolished a guy(at a Catchweight 145) who was destroyed by Margorito and not the same.

Mosley then Destroys the Man who destroyed Cotto.

Hatton was clearly a worn and a done fighter vs Pac

Hatto had fairly new trainer when he fought Pac.

As much as it is logical to have Pacquiao retain p4p #1...

...After seeing how they propelled FMJ to #2 after winning what was essentially a tuneup, then i am inclined to believe they will try again to place him as #1. Expect this **** to come from The Ring, care of golden girl.

There is no Lineal Champion at Welterweight last time I checked.

Yes you are right, hatton had a new trainer in senior and may have screwed him up. Margo was caught using cement before fighting mosley and after that fight, there were no accumulations of punishments on mosley like margo did to cotto when they fought. Hatton looked done for the way he lost to pacquiao but withstood to lazcano in a gruelling fight.
