i know toney is a real active fighter but he is getting older, and this fight is within 3 months of the ruiz fight, if toney is gonan come in lighter will he have enough time to do it without being effected by weight lose in that amount of time?

Toney is a pro, he knows what he is doing, he also knows that age is a factor so he will look to be real active and get what he can get while he can get it.Comment

I agree. and besides, it's not like the ruiz fight was so gruelling that it took something out of him. he should be able to continue without missing a stepComment

Toney came out of the Ruiz fight without a scratch, at the pace that Toney fights at, he could fight every 5-6 weeks without missing a beat, I think a quick fight would be good for him, becuase he'll go right back to the gym and come into his fight in July closer to 225 lbsOriginally posted by pug1986Comment

Toney heard that Ruiz came out of retirement and wants mandatory rematch, so he chose to take the Byrd fight right away to avoid Ruiz. But at least he wasn't a coward like Roy Jones who dropped the belt and ran!
