I don't know where you have been since the Eastman fight, but Mranda sucks man, and has gotten annihilated by every top fighter he has ever faced.

"Super middleweight contender Jesse Brinkley’s valiant IBF eliminator win over Curtis Stevens won’t get him an immediate shot at IBF champion Lucian Bute, even though a deal had been worked out. Apparently HBO is “insisting” that Bute defend against Edison Miranda instead for their April 17 telecast."

Ross Greenburg is hurting boxing. He has no sense of who deserves or has earned an opportunity.

Yea Carnivore, the world is just dying to see Brinkley in the ring with Bute. Go back to your day job and quit trying to run HBO Boxing.

Lol, I get where you are both coming from but...

A. Brinkley has actually earned his spot to fight Bute. Miranda hasn't beaten anyone recently. The last big fight that he won was against Allan Green in 2007. Since then, he's lost to Pavlik, Abraham twice and Ward. That's a lot of losing to do in a 2 1/2 year period. So I get why Carnivore finds it a tad ridiculous that HBO is "insisting" that Bute get in the ring with Miranda next.
B. Even though Brinkley earned it, his title shot against Bute is going to be a ****ing execution. If Miranda can be slightly competitive, it vindicates Greenburg for making this fight happen before the Brinkley fight.

I radher want to see the Miranda-Stieglitz fight happening... but thats not bad at all.

After Butes last perfomances I was really impressed.
But people seem to forget, that

a) Miranda is a big puncher, who cracked this steel jaw of Abraham.
and b) Bute struggled with my boy Andrade and was finaly down, even if he outboxed him round by round.

everything is possible. Im rooting for Edison Miranda.
