If Floyd doesn’t sign, though I’m sure he will (I’m convinced his ego is making him hold out, and nothing more), but IF he doesn’t sign then I’d call for his retirement from the sport. Could he ever recover from not fighting Manny as well as Shane?
I fear his reputation would be damaged so severely that he simply would have no other option but to hang them up.
Unless he was prepared to fight perhaps Paul Williams at either 147 or 154 (not gonna happen) then I don’t know what else he could do?
Manny aside he simply must fight a top stand-up welter or junior middle, and the pickings are slim.
