    Roy Jones Jr @154 Olympics

Can anyone on the Contender beat the 154 lb 19 year old Roid Jones that fought at the Olympics? I'd say Mora and Manfredo may give him a fight but Roid would still win..

I haven't even seen one minute of the contender, but I can safely say... NO.

Roy Jones could have won a title as soon as he turned pro.
        He was that talented.

I am not impressed with Manfredo and havent seen much of Mora but I dont expect much either. A amateur Roy Jones is still lightyears above these guys.

            In a word, "No."

I saw his Olympic debut. He was like a bigger, stronger and possibly faster version of Ray Leonard. I have never seen reflex that quick and counter punching practically instantanious in all the years of boxing I've watched since I was a kid, which is about 33 years of watching fights.

His counterpunch knockdown of Reggie Johnson is perhaps the fastest & most accurate 2 punch combo I have seen.

When Jones turned pro at 154.....Julian Jackson was the 154lb. king.

That would have been very intriguing......just to see if Roy made a "rookie" mistake that could have been disastrous.

If Julian Jackson could catch Herol Graham then he could certainly catch Roy Jones. Herol was much more elusive than Roy.

                    Wrong.

Graham was pressing Jackson on the ropes when that happened anyway. Jones was way stronger and more elusive than Graham. Jesus what a dumb comment.
