Has there ever been a boxer more diva-like about contracts than Floyd Mayweather Jr.?

The greatest of all time sugar ray robinson. Alot of people said he was nearly impossible to deal with. He would tell the promoters minutes before a fight he would back out if he wasn't guaranteed more money

Leonard took after his nickname-sake in terms of being a diva in contracts. Being a star and the box-office draw, he usually got his demands.

Much has been said about Leonard demanding a 12 round bout against Hagler but Hagler's previous bout against Mugabi had actually been scheduled for 12 as well. Petronelli has talked about how Hagler really, really wanted the Leonard bout to be 15 rounds, but Leonard got his way and it was 12 rounds, and a 20 foot ring.

Against the 175 lb. champion Lalonde, Leonard demanded a weight of 168 lbs, do the WBC could put up both the SMW and LHW titles at once, adding his total to titles in five weight classes. This was so he could he pass Hearns, who had won belts in four weight classes, (and actually won the WBO in a fifth a couple days before Leonard-Lalonde).

Against Hearns in the rematch, it was a SMW title bout, but Leonard demanded a catchweight of 163 lbs. He also included a penalty clause in which being over the catchweight would cost a million dollars (sound familiar?).

Though at least unlike Robinson, we haven't heard Leonard threaten to pull out 20 minutes before the fight because he just found out the fight was being broadcast in some country and he didn't have the monetary rights to it there. Or end up pulling out a couple hours before the fight.
