Why cant we have cards like this anymore

Today we are fed with one good fight and a load of **** on the undercards. MAYBE you have one solid matchup and then the rest are showcases of prospects.

If it were like back in the days, they would make more cross roads, for example we would have:

          Main Event: Mayweather Vs Mosley
          Co-Main Event: Pacquiao Vs Clottey

Winner fights winner. We can only dream...

That's what ****ed everything up Makavelli ...... PPV.

Don King, HBO and others discovered that they would make more paper if they split that card up and make two events.

It was during Tyson's prison time. Don King had to make due and threw alot of big cards like this at us. It was a great time for fans, almost as good as when network tv had boxing on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and USA and ESPN both had shows during the week.

                  it's true.

casual fans only buy because of the main event.

the reason don king could load his cards is because the fighters weren't getting paid that much.

it comes down to star fighters getting paid well or not.

you can't load up a card with star fighters without underpaying them.
