Will Ruiz have any ring rust from his retirment layoff?

It makes one wonder, will Ruiz be able to compete at champion level as he did prior and up to Toney, now that he retired and is coming back.

I must say the ring rust might hurt him more than anything.

Ruiz a true champ. He'll get another belt before he retires.

OMG can you even class that as a retirement? He would have been off that long anyway recovering from the fight.

what a long layoff, you can still see the welts from the side of his body.

I don't think he can come back this time. He did it once after Tua and that was a miracle but to do it again at his age, after a beating like he just took is impossible.

I just hope he retires before he gets serious brain damage. Or those welts turn into life ending liver problems.

Not to mention the physical and psychological effects that a retirement has on a person.

And one more thing. Did you see how bad his balance was in his last fight?

That is most definitly a delayed reaction to the brain damage that Tua gave him. Add that to the fact that he could barely walk after, and I would say Ruiz is lucky not to be in a wheelchair. I pray for his saftey he doesn't fight or get hurt anymore.
