I would have picked Khan to beat Malignaggi on his professional debut.

He doesn't have pop. And with Khan that is the be all and end all.

Maidana is a bigger name in the US that Khan is, due to having destroyed the heavily hyped Ortiz live on HBO. Khan has never even appeared on HBO. So that argument is very weak.

Malinglagi is only making noise to be noticed, hoping by doing it might make Khan fight him and he can share the ring with an admirable fighter like Amir Khan.

Admirable fighters don't duck their first meaningful mandatory just because they think they might lose the fight.

If the Marquez fight was on the basis that Maidana would have a guaranteed fight against the winner, I wouldn't have a problem with it, but GBP have made it clear that they have no plans for Khan to fight Maidana at all. They said that after Marquez, they want Khan to fight Zab. So it's a blatant duck, and I hope the WBA strip him.

Malignaggi out boxes Khan if he stays focused.

I still want to see Khan vs Maidana. If this fight isn't going to happen and Khan already thinks he deserves high dollar, then strip his ass and lets move on.
