If he had no heart he wouldn't have finished the fight against Calzaghe. He fought half the fight with severly compromised vision on one eye. He could have had it stopped on behalf of the cut if he wanted to but he kept fighting. Roy is in no need of money, he is set. He does not fight on for money, he fights for love of the game and the belief he can still do it.

Cotto could've quit against Clottey but he finished the fight too. And I don't really consider Cotto's fighting style as brave. Going in to survive and not fight back is showing no heart no matter how anyone tries to spin it. Roy is worse than Cotto though. At least Cotto tried to make it look like he was trying when he fought Margarito and Pac. Roy just goes into a shell once he knows the other guy won't back down.

Yeah im sure he has. Roys family was with him in Australia. His mother was talking about that he should retire if he felt it was the time, that he has nothing left to prove but that in the end it was up to him what he felt he wanted to do. She seemd really supportive.

It's a question of ability more then heart. If you take the Calzaghe fight as example, Roy legs are clearly not what they where neither his reflexes. Calzaghe comes at him with 110 punches a round, and he can not get away. On top of that He got a real bad cut. What are his options?
He can either say "I can't see" take his money and go home. Or he can try to fight back with his back against the ropes trying to land something big. He choose alternative two as you saw, he landed some good shots but it wasn't enough to put Calzaghe away. Still he stuck it out to the end.

I see no lack of heart only lack of youth. I think Roy showed determination against Calzaghe.

I believe the exact opposite. I think his flashy lifestyle urges him to keep on fighting. Who would have thought a man who has made much more money then Jones, Holyfield, would end up broke ? I really believe Jones needs the money to secure his future.
