Should TR counter with Pac/Margarito March 13, to compete with May/Mosley?

This is probably the best possible match for Pac now that Floyd and Shane are fighting each other.

I think a simple name swap, that moves Clottey to the undercard and Margarito to the Main Event with Pac could easily juice up the ppv numbers to a million buys!


Imagine the two guys collectively responsible for ruining Cotto's career going head to head! There is no solid proof that either guy was juicing or plastering when they beat the hell out of him. People will tune in for the sheer spectacle of it and I think it could rival Mayweather/Mosley as far as intrigue.

Pacquiao/Margarito and then Mayweather/Mosley

Not only could the winners face each other, but the losers can fight as well and still make a ton of money! So many interesting possibilities when you remove boring-ass Clottey from the equation.

I think they're going about it the right way, Marg has been inactive for a year and if they fought now it would be an obvious excuse. Let's see in what shape Marg is in and then let them fight, unless he's too good.

Here is an interesting stat:

Kermit Cintron, Sergio Martinez, Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey are all still good active fighters and a combined record of 145 wins and only 9 losses.

Margarito is responsible for 5 of those 9 losses!

Margarito IMO should be ranked as the #4 best welter weight behind Shane/Money/Manny. Id rank Andre Berto #5 and after that I guess Id put Clottey somewhere in the top ten.

Margarito needs to rebuild his career first. Putting aside all the plaster talk, he took a one sided beating in his last fight while Clottey just lost a squeaker to Cotto. After a while Margarito would be the much bigger opponent, but not right now.

Its too late to do that, Margarito doesnt deserve the fight, and Margarito-Pac aint competeing with Floyd-Mosley anyways. How are they competing when Shane just lit his ass up and he was caught cheating? You dont need to compete with eachother. You just need to win and sooner or later you will meet
