It's gonna be some back and forth exchanges, but Shane won't be landing no where near as accurately as Clottey. Unlike Pacquiao/ Mayweather, Shane is gonna be right in front of Clottey after throwing his punches. Shane is the kind of opponent Clottey feeds off of. Plus Clottey can box, and we all know Shane struggles against good boxers. Clottey also has the durability to make the finish line. Look at Cotto's jab for example, Shane's jab doesn't compare to Cotto's. In fact Shane has one of the worse jabs, it's a 3-4 inch jab that he loves to leave out there; used to set up the overhand right (Which isn't gonna land on Clottey). I'm really confident in saying Clottey U.D.

i can see that too...Shane and Clottey would be a stylistic war and in a war, i dont know know how much more the 37 year old shane has

He beat Cotto in my opinion but listen. Clottey doesn't have to waste energy chasing Mosley, Mosley will be right in front of him. So Clottey's stamina issues won't be a problem at all. Remember how GODAWFUL Mosley looked when he tried to box Cotto? Cotto rocked him mad times, Mosley ate more punches boxing then he did coming foward, and his legs were noticeably shot. Clottey feeds off of Shane-like opponents, Clottey's style is perfectly made for Shane. Mosley is gonna throw, hit Clottey's peek-a-boo guard, and as soon as he stops throwing...Clottey will land his punches. It's simple.

        SIMPLE.

I made this thread because GTR said Clottey would beat Shane.

The majority of the members in this thread agree Mosley would win.

imo clotteys physical style is all wrong for ssm. mosley's power boxing against clottey won't work because clottey himself is a tough and durable fighter, remember his fights against cotto and wright. both those guys are strong fighters at their weights and shane speed and power couldn't get their respect. clotteys his high guard means that ssm's punches will be hitting him on the forearms, and he doesn't leave alot of space for a body attack neither.

sugar shane is also there to be hit, he is not as mobile as he should be. in the fights with cotto and wright it showed that when shane can't back up his target he struggles.

i see clottey winning the fight on dec, he might take his foot off the gas but i think he will win a majority dec.
i agree with the way you analyze their styles, but mosley is so much better than clottey that he wins anyways. its a somewhat close fight bcuz clottey has that style to trouble shane, but shane is a couple of levels above clottey so he pulls it of anyways.

ATG p4p >>> pretty good/decent WW of today.. regardless of styles

                  HOW?
by throwing 2 punches no wait
Pounches then going into a shell?
It would be a clinch and Shell FEST!
                  SSM by UD
He is more active than Clottey and that will make it an easy UD
you cant give it to a fighter that throws 20 Pounches a round
