Floyd stopped getting credit because he's an amazing boxer, very talented and possibly an ATG, people want to see what he can do, they want to see him challenged, they dont want to speculate on if he could beat the best, they want to see him fight and beat the best.
Manny gets credit for now, because he's an amazing boxer, very talented and possibly an ATG, people want to see what he can do, they want to see him challenged, they get to watch him challenge himself, and fight top competition and continually impress not only with victory but the way in which he is victorius.

Manny gets credit from the boxing fans, because he's moved up in weight quickly and is KO'ing people who should be beating him because they're bigger and stronger opposition. He's fought people mayweather didn't fight, and the people he fought that floyd had fought, he disposed of in a more impressive fashion.

People keep playing the "Delahoya was dehydrated card" and though that was true, remember, it wasn't manny who forced oscar to come down in weight, it was a fight oscar wanted. And before the fight, we were all saying how it was a circus match, freak show, and poor little manny shouldn't be put in harms way like that, alot of people predicted Oscar KO by 4 rounds.... Oops, but now everyone acts as if Manny was picking on poor old oscar and forced him into this fight that he had no chance of winning... All the cards were oscars, he could make all the demands he wanted... and he lost, ...

But the Manny credit train is ending, people aren't impressed with him picking Clottey, which means the public has accepted Manny as a welterweight now, not a little guy who's fighting welterweights. For Manny to continue to get all the credit, he's got to start looking at floyd, shane and those guys, before he ends up with mayweather syndrome.... IE "Manny fought the best when he moved up to welterweight at first, then he started cherry picking weaker opponents, and only fought people he'd look good against and collected a paycheck"

The casual fans/general public look at the numbers on records and guage who was the best based on that... In the eyes of a boxing fan, a follower of the sport, you are only as good as the fighters on your resume.

So by that logic Pac should`nt get any credit for that Hatton win then. The HAtton win was not a challenge the vast Majority of people felt Pac was gonna win.

You just a clown looking for a reason to bash Floyd.

But it seems to me that Whenever Floyd is fighting someone he gets no credit. For instance Floyd is going to fight Shane and first all the pacman fans said Floyd would NEVER fight him and now they are saying that Floyd cherry picked mosely? lol. Pacman is getting a lot of credit to fight Clottey I bet if Floyd picked Clottey this thread would be going nuts. I say let's just give respect to both fighters and that Clottey and Sugar are both tough opponents.
I have given FLoyd his credit for agreeing to fight SSM, even though i believe his hand was forced into fighting him. He hasnt been given credit cuz he didnt fight or chose not to fight the tough guys of HIS division...
The reason why Pac has been given credit is because he fights tough customers in a division that he's barely been in, nuff said.

Pac gets credit because he beats people better than Floyd does and in their weights and dont ask them to jump up one or two weight classes.

And PBF shouldnt be given credit for fighting SSM. He is SUPPOSED to be fighting these guys anyway. Many have fought SSM so how come Floyd hasnt?
Its not as if PBF is doing something anyone hasnt done before. People have not only fought SSM before, they have also beat him.
PBF is at least fighting SSM now, and now it is time to try beat him. And older SSM at that.

I know it was a long post, but seriously, read it before you comment on it. You and people like you are why its nearly impossible to have any serious discussion on this site, if you see something that could reflect on your favorite fighter in a negative light, you run screaming "hater hater hater". Stop, calm the **** down for one moment, and read, think about it, and reply with something of substance, something more than parasitical nuthuggery.
