Former two division world champion Zab "Super" Judah was incensed at Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer for mentioning him as a potential opponent for Amir Khan. "A fight against Marquez is a breakthrough as he is one of the best and Mexico's No1 active fighter," said Schaefer to Boxingscene. "Oscar's mouthpiece, who really runs Golden Boy Promotions, needs to learn how to come on the record.
"First of all if I were Marquez I would be flipping because how are you going to say once he wins? They just signed Khan, Marquez been with them. Reading what he says, it makes it seem like Golden Boy is feeding Marquez to Khan.
"Second, who is he to mention my name? I'm not a Golden Boy fighter and I don't want to be. They can't promote black fighters, and that's just going by what I see and the stuff that comes out of Bernard Hopkins, Shane Mosley and Winky Wright's mouths.
"Don't mentione my name for your cheeseburger, give me your Big Mac, bring Oscar De La Hoya out of retirement to fight me and after I beat him, maybe then I'll him be involved with my promotions," concluded Judah
