I call bull****. I don't like Floyd one bit, but to me Pac should've had to fight him before being crowned with this achievement. If not Floyd, at least Mosley. And he fought neither guy. I think if their was a round robin between all those guys there would've been a possibility that Mosley could've gotten it too if he would've beaten either Floyd or Pac. But the thing that's bull**** is the other guys that are contenders for it in my view are fighting each other while Pac is going after a Top Rank fall guy coming off a loss.

Well maybe Floyd & Mosley can be a contender for the next decade, lol.

No. I'm not saying that. I don't think this reward should be given out yet period. I don't care if the decade is up. Mosley, Mayweather, and Pacquiao should have to all fight each other before this award is given out in my view. Let's see who the best in that decade really was regardless of resumes. It's only being fair dude.

please do understand that they gave the award based on what transpired from jan 1 2000 to dec 31 2009. during that duration mayweather-pacquiao-mosley did not happen at all. floyd is in "retirement" when pacquiao is getting started at welterweights. when he "unretire", he announce it on the morning of pac-hatton fight. he could have waited to get the chance to fight pacquiao. so pac opted for cotto.

if that happens (and i feel it should be a question of when), that will be counted on the next decade (jan 1 2010 to dec 31 2019). there's always a next decade, it's not like the award is given only once in a lifetime.

ohh yeah mosley sure, mosley who had an all time great losing streak after his 2nd fight with DLH until last year's margarito fight. Oh yeah floyd, who ducked every top legit welterweight for at least half of the decade. Hopkins is the only contender for pacquiao, but his biggest wins are coming from smaller men than he is, while pacquiao has always fought p4p guys bigger than him.

Dude the award is from the last decade that ended DEC. 31, 2009.

Well Tyson was the best heavyweight of the decade in the 1980s but when he got spanked in 1990 by Buster Douglas people rethought their decision. Most consider Holmes greater.

I disagree totally. Floyd should be it for Fighter of the Decade. The fact that Mayweather vs. Mosley will beat Pacquiao vs. Clottey in PPV will prove who is tops once and for all.

I do not understand that the PPV will determine who tops it. If that is the case, De la hoya should be fighter of the decade.
