Article: Pacquiao vs. Sugar Ray Leonard

Being a fight fan who has a bias towards counter punchers and clever fighters over sluggers and brawlers (which explains why I'm a Floyd Mayweather fan) I have a hard time agreeing with this article that pits:

A Prime Manny Pacquiao vs. a Prime Sugar Ray Leonard

I must just be biased because as a child I rooted for Sugar Ray in his fights with Hearns, Duran, and Hagler. I wonder what you guys think. Maybe you are more objective than me.

SRL is Too big, too fast, too strong, too skilled.

The talent Gap between Pac and SRL is so wide you could fit a herd of elephants through it.

In a pound for pound fight, I would have to admit that its close. But at welterweight, I agree that Ray would be too big at 5'10 to Pacquiao's 5'6.

The only fights of Leonard this turd has watched is his rematch against Duran and the Hagler fight.Nobody who's actually seen Leonard at his best would claim that Pacquiao was a greater puncher than he was.

Leonard did everything better than Pacquiao

Sadly Sugar Ray was leagues above Manny, speed, power, footwork and stamina for 15 rounds...Leonard by KO.

              Leonard would knock Manny out.

This guy runs a Pacquiao site, he has Pacquiao knocking Leonard out within the first 9 rounds for crying out loud and knocking Henry Armstrong out within 7 he's ******ed.

                  Leonard is too big.. 5'10"...

assuming Leonard is as tall or only an inch taller than Manny..
Manny wins this one by a hard fought 12-rounds.

This is why I wont bat an eye when Pac gets knocked out, saying he'll best a legen like SRL is going to far. Can Pac even beat the Sugar and Mayweather of his own era??? I doubt it
