Who are the ten best young heavyweights?

Who are the ten best heavyweights under age 30? Who will have an impact on the division in 2010 and the years to come?

    1. Eddie Chambers 27
    2. Denis Boytsov 23
    3. Chris Arreola 28
    4. David Haye 29
    5. Odlanier Solis 29
    6. Sam Sexton 25
    7. Robert Helenius 26
    8. Andrzej Wawrzyk 22
    9. Kubrat Pulev 28
    10. Ondrej Pala 25

There are a LOT of good young up-and-comers in Europe right now, such as:

    Edmund Gerber 21
    Francesco Pianeta 25
    Tyson Fury 22
    David Price 26
    Andrey Fedosov 22
    Vladimir Tereshkin 22
    Jens Krull 20
    Vyacheslav Glazkov 25

To me, the heavyweight division looks loaded with talent!

However, if I was just looking at American heavyweights under age 30, except for Chambers, Arreola and Wilder, I agree there's not a lot of talent there and the future looks bleak.

I'm gonna be honest with you. None of the above mentioned fighters are gonna resurrect the heavyweaight division.

      Because they're not American?

Have you ever actually SEEN them? How can you judge them if you haven't seen them fight?

The heavyweight division is popular in mainland Europe, because that's where the talent is right now. It doesn't need to be "resurrected".

The heavyweight division is a joke. Look at the guys on top and ask yourself if they would survive in other eras. Maybe Vitali. But the rest? No way. They'd have losing records.

I'd take the Polish guy Andrzej Wawrzyk off of there. He got floored in the 4th by none other than Harvey Jolley in Chicago on Friday. He won though.

So says one of the most notorious Euro-haters in boxingscene's history.

We really don't know how well they would have done, but I am fairly sure they would certainly NOT have had "losing records".

does anyone know if there are even any good american amatuer heavy or super heavyweights? I'd love to check out some new talent and I'll have to check out at least 50% of your two lists Carnivore since I dont know the names

Harvey Jolly is better than his record indicates, he's a hard puncher who has won upsets in the past.

Wawrzyk who is just age 22 easily won all the other rounds in that fight, and he's been impressive in his other fights I've seen. Anyone can go down with a flash knockdown, it doesn't mean much. Gamboa has been down 4 times so far in fewer fights...

                    Andrzej has LOTS of potential.
