Shane Mosley: 'I'm GoingTo Take Floyd Out'

WBA super world welterweight (147 pounds) champion, Shane Mosley (46-5, 39 knockouts) has signed his bout contract to defend his crown for a career-best payday against five-time titlist, Floyd Mayweather (40-0, 25 KOs), on May 1 at The MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.

FanHouse caught up to the 38-year-old Mosley (pictured at right) moments after he had signed his agreeement to face the 32-year-old Mayweather. The three-division champion discussed how he plans to beat Mayweather "and take Floyd out."

"Then after I fight Floyd Mayweather," added Mosley, "I'll go ahead and fight [Manny] Pacquiao."

Mosley also delivered a personal, heartfelt message to WBC king Andre Berto (25-0, 19 KOs). Golden Boy Promotions' Oscar De La Hoya, former Mosley trainer, Joe Goossen, and Hassan Abdul Rahim Jr. of Team Mosley are all in the video.

I think he will come out with some rare disease and that he will pulled out of MOSLEY fight.

Mosley is hungrier, more experienced, and more deserving of the fight against Pacquiao. I believe Mosley has a very good chance of breaking Mayweather down and frustrating him.

this fight is a hard one to predict, i can see floyd winning a clear decision. at the same time i can see mosley knocking him out, eighter after breaking him down or just catching him at any stage of the fight.

i cant wait for this fight, pac-floyd wouldve been a big fight so i wouldve been looking forward to it bcuz of the magnitude. but i already know floyd is knocking pacquiao out if that happens. this fight (mosley-mayweather) i have no idea whats gonna happen, so im really looking forward to it.
