Lets not forget here, Marquez was arguably losing to Diaz down at 135 before the stoppage.

It's kind of funny the majority of people seem to think JJM will KO khan but alot of people also think Khan should not be picking on a LW?

Khan is no mayweather he is still a good fighter trained by one of the best who has faced Marquez before. People need to remeber Marquez has been on the down for the last 3 fights.. he was neck and neck with an even older Casa at 135.. and getting knocked around the ring by Diaz who is not a great fighter.

Sure Props for coming back for the KO but Diaz is pretty featherfisted.. and dominated the early parts. Khan is alot bigger then Diaz and punches harder.

It's no win situation for Khan, if he loses, then they will hate on him, if they win they will say JMM is shot.

Can he ? Will He ?

If he connects a nice punch there is a very good chance he'll KO the lad...

Will he ? I dont think he will land anything substantial

Earl, I have just watched the Prescott fight again and it does not take long but there was a myth circulated that Khan rushed in and fought toe to toe. That is not what I saw. Khan looked somewhat bemused on how to deal with reach disadvantage and was on the outside probing to find a way in which is standard practise when fighting an taller opponent. The damaging shot was thrown when Khan made feeble attempt of left uppercut lead which he threw outside of his range and was nailed with a left hook. After that shot it was game over. Watch the fight again but I can't see the rushing in toe to toe stuff. If there is one thing he could learn from that loss it is to be less square on with the upper body and go from the modern to the classic stance, that way the right shoulder is further back and right hand covers the chin protecting against the left hook. His stance has not changed that much under Roach ,he is still square on but has his hands higher. Hands higher is OK but he should be covering his chin with his right glove and he still does not do it and that could cost him when he fights Marquez.

Khan likes to throw pucnhes in bunches, and Marquez likes to counter-punch. This has the makings to be a great fight. I think that Khan would try and pressure Marquez early on and Marquez is experienced, been in their with the best so Id see Marquez picking shots and countering Khan all night. Many people have said that there would be a KO if this fight ever happened, My prediction is a Marquez UD.
