It's been a long time for me since there's been a superfight where I didn't know for sure going in who would win. This is honestly probably the first for a lot of you guys since Trinidad-De La Hoya in 1999.
Aside from the "nuthuggers," we all knew who was going to win Mayweather-De La Hoya, Mayweather-Hatton, Pacquiao-Hatton, Mayweather-Marquez and Pacquiao-Cotto going in. Did anybody really give the losers of those fights a great shot? Of course people bet on them, but real boxing fans knew the deal.
I guess you could say Pacquia-Marquez II was a big fight that was a toss-up, but it wasn't a superfight by any stretch.
It's great that this fight has been made. As a Mayweather fan, I don't know for sure Floyd is going to win this one. I think he will because he is a better fighter and always has been, but Mosley is fast and doesn't lose his cool late in fights.
It's kind of a shame that fights like Vazquez-Marquez and Corrales-Castillo weren't superfights. For us boxing fans, they were, but nobody in the general public saw them. And they were toss-up fights that delivered and wow'd us.
