Very good start to his pro career. He's age 28, two years younger than Povetkin.
He's a big guy too, which helps.

did he have a long amateur carrer?

Yes, Pulev had a long and successful amateur career. That's why they felt he was ready to be moved quickly.

It'd be nice if they could get some of these exciting young European prospects some exposure in the U.S. even though they probably don't need it. I'm sick of watching crappy streams. Why not put these guys on an ESPN, HBO, or Showtime undercard? I think Golden Boy has a joint venture with Sauerland so what's the problem?

no, that's the sinking Universum Box-Promotion...SE has no joint venture with any promotion in the US...

Who would they match them up with?

I'm sure they don't want a guy like Pulev to crush poor Denotay Wilder.

I'm fairly certain Pulev will be matched with more familiar names in the months to come.

Good to see some talented new heavyweights emerging!

Kubrat Pulev is already scheduled to fight on Feb 20 against Isossa Mondo from the Congo...

And he's fighting again on March 13!
