It's pretty obvious what Golden boy are doing. They are looking to put Maidana in with a good opponent who would most likely defeat him. Then this would take him out of the equation for a fight with Khan. It would be funny if Maidana kept winning though.

Cayo will not defeat Maidana. What Golden Boy is doing is trying to get him exposure on HBO so that he will be a more lucrative opponent down the line for Khan.

I think you are on to something .The fighter that will beat Maidana is a boxer who can take a shot. Maidana's boxing skills are limited and he will be exposed by a good slick boxer that can take a shot that was demonstrated in the Kotelnik fight.Kotelnik is a sound boxer,nothing special but can take a dig. Cayo is an undefeated boxer with good skills and can take a dig.
